Vintage Charm - The Dorchester Hotel

On Saturday I provided wedding flowers for Erica and Richard's wedding at The Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane. Erica had decided upon a vintage theme for her wedding to complement her beautiful Ian Stuart dress. We decided upon a selection of roses - Amnesia, Sweet Avalanche and Faith - white hydrangeas and gypsophila.

Erica's hand tied bouquet consisted of white hydrangeas, Amnesia, Sweet Avalanche and Faith roses along with a small amount of gyp with wired pearls in between the flowers and bound with ivory lace.

Her adult bridesmaids carried bouquets of white hydrangea with a gyp collar. Two of the flower girls carried small posies of gyp bound with a white bow whilst the youngest wore a circlet of gyp in her hair.

Richard and the rest of the bridal party wore Amnesia rose buttonholes with gyp and foliage.

The reception was held in the Penthouse Suite and Pavillion at the Dorchester Hotel which consisted of 4 reception rooms and a beautiful roof terrace looking out over the London skyline.

Erica had hired elegant crystal candelabras for the tables and these were dressed with a garland of gyp running down the stem and a large arrangement of white hydrangea and gyp in between the candles.

Mantles were dressed with vintage style crystal vases filled with white hydrangea, gyp, Amnesia, Sweet Avalanche and Faith roses to tie in with the vintage theme. A vintage tea pot and cup and saucer filled with the same flowers dressed the window sill in the Ladies Waiting Room.

Erica had three cakes which I provided vintage glass cake stands for. Two of the cakes were topped with vintage cups and saucers with white hydrangea florets, Amnesia, Sweet Avalanche and Faith roses along with gyp and finished with pearls.

I dressed the fountain on the roof terrace with a garland of eucalyptus, cherry ruscus and gyp and placed hurricane lamps in between. Mirror cube vases were also provided around the fountain for the bridesmaids to place their bouquets in. Small crystal birdcages (supplied by Erica) were placed on the tables. The two bay trees on the terrace were dressed with battery operated fairy lights which would give a lovely effect in the evening.

Beautiful flowers, beautiful venue and a very beautiful bride - I'm so looking forward to seeing the professional shots!!
