Under The Sea!! - Broke Hill Golf Club

On Saturday 24th September I provided Bridal party flowers and chair covers for Jonathan and Gemma's wedding at Broke Hill Golf Club. The colour scheme was ivory and turquoise blue and Jonathan and Gemma had decided upon having goldfish as their centrepieces and I provided the bowls and mirror plates for them - but not the goldfish!!

We tied the turquoise colour scheme into the flowers by adding turquoise ting ting to Gemma's hand tied rose bouquet and Jonathan's buttonhole. Gemma's bouquet, the flower girl bouquets and buttonholes all consisted of ivory Akito roses.

The chairs were dressed with white chair covers and finished with a turquoise organza swag.

The table centrepieces were to be set up by a qualified 'fish man' - I'm sure the whole day went swimmingly!!

A Touch of Class - Revisited

I received a lovely card from Katrina and Andy thanking me for the flowers I provided for them back in August. They were a great couple and I really enjoyed creating their flowers for them. I've attached a copy below along with a gorgeous photo of the two of them.

Lemon Sorbet - Sundridge Park Manor

On Saturday 17th September I was back at Sundridge Park to provide flowers for Sue and Stuart's wedding. Sue wanted an ivory and green colour scheme for her flowers with an accent of pale lemon. We decided to use the pale lemon Creme de la Creme rose along with ivory Akito roses, white double lisianthus, ivory freesia, white bouvardia, lime green hypericum berries and pale green alchemilla mollis throughout the arrangements and bouquets. Stuart wanted a brighter colour scheme so we used Cachet gerberas in the urn arrangements to add a pop of colour.

For Sue's trailing shower bouquet I used both the Akito and Creme de la Creme roses, white lisianthus, ivory freesia, lime hypericum berries and alchemilla mollis. The bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of ivory Akito roses with a sprinkling of diamante.

Stuart and the bridal party wore Akito rose buttonholes with foliage.

For the table arrangements I created arrangements of Akito and Creme de la Creme roses, white lisianthus, ivory freesia, lime hypericum berries, alchemilla mollis with eucalyptus which were placed on square mirror vases. The ceremony/head table arrangement contained the same flowers with the addition of white stocks.

I provided two urn arrangements in the ceremony room. These consisted on lime green molucella, white and yellow gladioli, Cachet gerbera, white stocks and foliage. The chairs were dressed with white covers and a sage green organza sash.

I dressed the staircase with ivory organza and provided two arrangements at the bottom of Akito and Creme de la Creme roses, white lisianthus, ivory freesia, lime hypericum berries, alchemilla mollis with eucalyptus.

I loved fresh and summery pastel colour combination of the ivory, lime green and pale lemon.

Bold & Beautiful - Sundridge Park Manor

My second wedding from Saturday was Donna and Andy's wedding at Sundridge Park. Donna had chosen a red and white colour scheme centred around bright red and white gerberas.

Donna's adult bridesmaid carried a hand tied bouquet of ivory Akito roses while the two younger bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of white gerberas.

Andy wore a Grand Prix rose buttonhole with cherry ruscus and bear grass. The rest of the wedding party wore ivory Atkito rose buttonholes with cherry ruscus foliage.

The head table arrangement was first placed in the ceremony room and consisted of red and white gerberas, white lisianthus and red Naomi roses with foliage.

The chairs were dressed with white chair covers and finished with a bright red bow.

Another lovely wedding and a another great couple.

Country Garden - Bickley Manor Hotel

I was looking forward to creating the flowers for Sarah and Alex's wedding for some time. The main theme of the wedding was for a garden style setting using a wide variety of flowers and foliages. The colour scheme was kept to white and green and the flowers included white hydrangea, ornithogalum, lisianthus, brassica, shamrock blooms, snowberries, hypericum berries, poppy seed heads, alchemilla mollis, eucalyptus, mint, sage and rosemary.

Sarah carried a hand tied bouquet of white hydrangea, ornithogalum, white lisianthus, lime green hypericum berries, poppy seed heads, mint, sage, rosemary and eucalyptus. The bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of white hydrangea, lime green hypericum berries, white lisianthus and eucalyptus.

Alex's buttonhole was of two poppy seed heads, white hydrangea and rosemary. The guest buttonholes were white lisianthus with rosemary while the corsages and wrist corsages were of white lisianthus, lime hypericum berries and rosemary.

For the tables I created country garden arrangements in terracotta pots which I sprayed ivory and then scratched to create a rustic look. These were filled with large arrangements of white hydrangea, lime green shamrock blooms, white lisianthus, ornithogalum, brassica, berried ivy, snowberries, lime green hypericum berries, poppy seed heads, eucalyptus, alchemilla molis, rosemary, sage, mint and verigated ivy and were finished off with a pillar candle. These were placed on a mirror plate with a sprinkling of crystals.

Sarah had provided a wicker garland to go along the length of the head table and this was decorated with lime green hypericum berries and alchemila mollis. At either end of the head table I placed a large terracotta pot filled with brassica, eucalyptus, berried ivy. On the wall behind the head table I provided two hearts which were bound with moss and ivy with Sarah and Alex's initials hanging inside.

The cake table was dressed with white organza and green organza bows and finished with green butterflies provided by Sarah.

The chairs were dressed with white chair covers and apple green sashes.

I loved this wedding, such a fresh, clean look with a great selection of flowers and a wonderful bride and groom.

The two flowers girls carried wands of ivory Avalanche roses with feathers and diamante sprays, bound with ivory and silver ribbons. These were placed on a round mirror plate with tea lights with a generous sprinkling of Swarovski crystals that Stella provided.

The staircase was dressed with silvery eucalyptus and ivory roses and finished off with silver organza bows.

Another beautiful wedding!!

A Touch of Class - Brands Hatch Place

On Thursday 25th August I provided the flowers for Katrina and Andy's wedding at Brands Hatch Place. Katrina had very clear ideas for what she wanted and knew from the start that hydrangeas and Avalanche roses were to be used in the bouquets and arrangements. The flowers were to be kept to white and ivory with the addition of black organza table runners and chair sashes and hints of purple on the table by way of crystals and napkin rings.

Katrina's bridesmaids carried simple but beautiful hand tied bouquets of white hydrangea. Katrina's bouquet consisted of white hydrangea and ivory Avalanche roses with pearl details. All were bound with white ribbon.

Around the room, in front of the mirrors, I provided hurricane lamps filled with candles and fresh rose petals and a selection of around 100 tea lights.

Katrina had hired silver candelabras for her table centerpieces and I created large full arrangements to sit on top using white hydrangeas and ivory Avalanche roses. The candelabras were placed on a mirror plate with the addition of tea lights and silver mint julep cups filled with hydrangea florets. I added a black table runner across the tables.

White hydrangea, ivory Avalanche Roses and white stocks were used in the head table arrangement.

I scattered fresh rose petals all over the cake table and provided 4 bubble vases for the bridesmaids to place their bouquets in.

On the outside terrace I provided artificial bay trees with organza bows and fairy lights and dressed the hand rail of the stairs with white organza.

Our 6ft crystal wedding tree with fairy lights was used as a table plan.

Brands Hatch Place provide chair covers as part of their package but I dressed these with black organza bows to tie in the theme.

I'm sure you'll agree that the overall look was fabulous - a real touch of class.
