Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

Sunday 31st October saw the wedding of Sarah and Scott at Sundridge Park Manor. Rather than go with a Halloween theme Sarah chose a winter wonderland setting. The colour scheme was white and silver with just a hint of lilac. Sarah and her mum had collected lots of silver ribbons and silver artificial flowers and twigs to help bring in the colour scheme and I incorporated these in the flowers.

Sarah chose a hand tied bouquet of ivory 'Akito' roses, lilac 'Pacific Blue' roses, rosemary, berried ivy and verigated ivy. It really looked amazing and the photos below don't do it justice. The bridesmaid bouquets were of ivory 'Akito' roses bound with silver ribbon.

For the tablecentres, Sarah chose white lilies and white twigs with bear grass threaded with pearls.

The fireplace was decorated with an arrangement incorporating the ribbons and artificial silver flowers provided by Sarah along with 'Akito' roses, Oriental lilies, Singapore orchids and trailing ivy.

For the head table/ceremony room I incorporated the ribbons and crystal twigs that Sarah had supplied along with white oriental lilies, 'Akito' roses and Singapore Orchids.

The same flowers and embelishments were also arranged in the table display outside the ceremony room.

I also provided a Wishing Tree for guests to write messages to the Bride and Groom. This was decorated with white tags with silver ribbon to tie in with the colour scheme. The staircase was simply dressed with white organza and finished off with large bows at the bottom.

The Colour Purple

Saturday 30th October saw the wedding of Bethany and Scott at Hempstead House in Sittingbourne. The theme of the wedding was purple - aubergine to be exact and this was implemented in the choice of flowers and sashes for the chair covers. The whole look was very sophisticated.

For Bethany's bouquet I used two tone 'Vermeer' calla lilies and dark purple ''Odessa' calla lilies, lilac 'Pacific Blue' roses, white freesias and eucalyptus - the scent was fantastic.

The Bridesmaid carried a hand tied bouquet of 'Vermeer' calla lilies and the flower girls carried a single 'Odessa' calla lily with white ribbons.

For the tablecentres Bethany and Scott decided on goldfish bowls with bear grass and 'Vermeer' and 'Odessa' calla lilies wrapped around the inside. These were placed on a mirror plate and decorated with tea lights and dried rose petals.

The head table arrangement contained eucalyptus, white bouvardia, 'Pacific Blue' roses, 'Vermeer' and 'Odessa' calla lilies.

The chairs were covered with white covers and finished off with an aubergine taffetta sash...

Vintage Chic!

In addition to wedding flowers and chair cover hire I also have a fantastic range of vintage china to hire for your special occasion. The collection ranges from vintage tea cups & saucers to milk jugs, plates, cake stands, sugar bowls and vintage style bunting.

Vintage china can give your special occasion, be it a Wedding, Anniversary, Christening, Baby Shower, Birthday or Garden Party, that extra special unique vintage tea party touch.

I recently provided vintage side plates and tea cups and saucers for Victoria's wedding at the Old Naval College in Greenwich. Victoria wanted to serve her amazing fresh cream sponge wedding cake on vintage china during the evening reception.

I also provided colourful vintage cups and saucers to decorate the long tables in the room.

Lympne Castle - Pretty in Pink

Saturday 9th October was the wedding of Kim and Ligio at the beautiful Lympne Castle. The colour scheme was ivory, pale pink with dusky pink accents. I used pale pink 'Heaven' roses, pale pink 'Pink Eye' gerberas and ivory Oriental lilies as the main flowers, along with dusky pink 'Cool Water' roses, pink and white snowberries and silvery green eucalyptus to tie it all in.

The 'Wedding House'!

Saturday 25th September saw the wedding of Karen and Jason at Sundridge Park Manor, Channel 4's 'Wedding House'. The colour scheme was claret and ivory with a modern and traditional mix.

The main flowers used throughout the wedding were red Grand Prix roses and ivory Gerberas. I added some double lisianthus and Singapore orchids to the head table arrangement. These were also used in Karen's trailing bouquet which I forgot to photograph!

The table arrangements were a modern design of red Grand Prix roses, ivory gerbera, folded aspidistra leaves, cherry Ruscus and bear grass arranged on 70cm Martini vases. The vases were placed on a round mirror plate with small goldfish bowls arround the base, filled with clear gel and a single Grand Prix rose.

The beautiful staircase was enhanced with a garland of cherry ruscus and adorned with Grand Prix roses and ivory gerberas and was finished off with a red organza bow.

The chairs were dressed with white chair covers and a striking 'claret' organza bow.

Shocking Pink!

Another of my favourite weddings also took place in May. Kelly's colour scheme was shocking pink with pale pink accents. She wanted a hand tied bouquet of shocking pink roses with contrasting Singapore orchids in between, finished off with diamante pins.

I chose to use Purple Power roses which have the most amazing scent along with cerise pink Singapore orchids heads which were wired and placed between the roses. A diamante pin was placed in the centre of each rose.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of cream gerbera with folded aspidistra leaves at the base and were bound with shocking pink ribbon.

In the reception room the pillars were dressed with fairy lights and the table arrangements were placed on martini vases which were filled with shocking pink gel. Kelly chose modern arrangements of shocking pink 'Serena' gerberas along with pale pink 'Heaven' roses, folded aspidistra leaves, hard ruscus and bear grass. The vases were placed on a round mirror and baby goldfish bowls were placed around the mirror filled with shocking pink gel and a single 'Serena' gerbera. (Chair covers not provided by us).

The head table was dressed with an arrangement of 'Serena' gerberas, 'Heaven' roses, 'Kimsey' germini and Singapore orchids. Baby goldfish bowls containing shocking pink gel and a single 'Serena' gerbera were placed along the table with cerise silk rose petals sprinkled inbetween.

Golden Elegance

Another of my favourite weddings this year took place in May at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. The colour scheme was gold and teal - I don't often get to work with golds and yellows so it was a nice change.

The bride, Nicole, carried a mixed hand tied bouquet of gold 'Sphinx' roses, gold and ivory freesia, ivory 'Akito' roses, tanacetum and mini pittosporum bound with ivory ribbon.

The bridesmaids carried smaller versions bound with teal ribbon.

The ceremony took place in the beautiful orangery. I created an arrangement for the ceremony table along with two urn arrangements placed either side, which were later moved into the reception room.

For the table arrangement I used gold 'Cachet' gerbera, gold 'Sphinx' roses, ivory 'Akito' roses and ivory Oriental lilies along with trailing cherry ruscus foliage and ivory Singapore orchids.

In the urns I used the same 'Cachet' gerbera along with ivory and gold gladioli, ivory stocks, ivory Oriental lilies and september along with foxtail foliage.

The table arrangements for the reception were placed on Martini vases and contained the 'Cachet' gerberas, 'Sphinx' roses, the Oriental lilies and stocks finished off with the bushy foxtail foliage and hard ruscus. A very elegant affair!
