Lilac and Springtime

Spring is always a lovely time for weddings and in April this year saw the wedding of Jo and Steve at Cooling Castle Barns. This was one of my favourite weddings, the colour scheme was lilac and ivory - just perfect for spring. Jo and Steve wanted an abundance of flowers and decided on large table arrangements over a metre in height! They also wanted flower arrangements hanging on each of the pillars in the main reception room.

With all the lovely fragrant spring flowers around I chose to use lilac and white stocks and lilac sweet peas within the arrangements with the addition of lilac lisianthus, ammi, bushy foxtail (asparagus meyers) and trailing ivy.

The same flowers were used for the pillar arrangements.

The tall table arrangements worked great in the barn as the ceiling is very high - it looked spectacular.
